Rita Talks: 7/14/08

My weight continues to bounce and up down on the scales like a rubber ball. At one point, the numbers on the scale had reached my beginning weight starting point. In other words, I was right back where I started. As the numbers continued to climb on the scales, I had no trouble believeing the scale at all. It showed a gain, and I believed it with no problem. Now here’s where the madness begins…..When I finally stepped on the scale and it showed a considerable loss, I thought there might be something wrong with the batteries in the scale. I had a difficult time believeing that I had lost any weight. Especially since just before I got on the scale, I felt I was gaining, gaining, and gaining. When in fact, just the opposite was true. I definetly need to work on this weight problem from the inside out, or anything I do will be a temporary fix.
Inspite of all the high and lows, and numbers doing jumping jacks on the weight scale, I have managed to lose all that I gained and I am now even one pound lighter. I have lost a total of 8 pounds. (Twice! *laughs*)
Garden update…
Finally, after much anticipation, I have ripe red tomatoes!!! There is nothing better than that first BLT, or that first tomato sandwich. My squash plants have had beautiful large gorgeous blooms for weeks, but not the first squash yet! The cucumber vines are beginning to produce cucumbers. They are not big enough to pick yet, but it won’t be long now. I have had a few banana peppers, but no bell peppers yet. It’s been a lot of fun watching this garden grow. (Even if those yellow crooked neck squash are not doing what they are supposed to.
