“Children are our most valuable natural resource.” ~Herbert Hoover

When my son Michael was very young, my older son and I used to love to laugh at the way he invented his own names for fast food items.  His names were similar to the real thing, but just cute enough to make us laugh.  For instance, he called French fries, “Pinch fries.”  And he called the chicken nuggets from McDonalds, “chicken nuts.”  So, when we stopped for fast food, his typical order would be “pinch fries and chicken nuts.”  Hilarious!  But the funniest thing to me was how he got the fast food mixed up with a famous spokesperson for Publishers Clearning House sweepstakes.  He was so excited that we got a letter from PCH informing us that we might be the next six million dollar winner.  He was so sure we had won that later when I was explaining to him why I couldn’t buy him a particular toy he wanted he said, ” Well, you might not get it today, but as soon as Ed McMuffin comes to our house, then you can buy it for me!”
