Rita Talks: 6/23/08

I am happy to report that I have lost 2 more pounds in the past week! That makes for a total weight loss of 7 pounds this month so far. I am hoping to lose a total of 10 pounds before the month is over. I am surprised really that I have lost as much as I have this month. It’s been fairly effortless.
I contribute some of this weight loss to the heat, and the fact that I don’t have much of an appetite when the tempertures are soaring into the upper 80’s and above. Even so, I think it’s helped a great deal that I started using self hypnosis again to keep me on track. Which is probably why I am not having wild cravings or feeling hungry all the time, and I am making good choices effortlessly.
I also went to a water aerobics class last week. I didn’t realize how out of shape I had become until later that day when my muscles started to ache. It was a good kind of ache though. The kind that tells you that you are making improvements and using muscles that need strengthening. I hope to go to water aerobics at least twice this week also. The class is about 30 miles from my home, and with gas prices being what they are, I cannot go as often as I would like to.
I have determined that I need to write down weekly goals. Even if they are small goals. I feel that they are important because it constantly reminds me to take time for me, and for the things that I want and feel are important. Trust me, I spend far too many hours making sure everyone else has what they want/need, and not enough time making sure I have the same. Too, goal writing has it’s own magical properties. It’s one way of putting it out there for the Universe to see. It has a kind of magnetic affect.
Other news…
We have decided to narrow our posting days on this site to Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. This is in an effort to avoid overwhelming our readers AND ourselves.
Until next time…Have a great week, Everyone!

Congratulations on losing the weight. You’ve got me inspired!
I also like the idea of writing down weekly goals. Time seems to fly by and, if I don’t track my progress, I can let things slide.
Great tips–thank you!
